The National Fire Chiefs Council Leadership Framework sets out and defines the leadership behaviours needed at every level in the Fire and Rescue Service and focusses on four key areas: Personal Impact, Outstanding Leadership, Organisational Effectiveness and Service Delivery.

The aim of the Leadership Framework is to support and develop fire and rescue service leaders now and in the future by providing a consistent approach to leadership regardless of role or function.

Included in the Leadership Framework are behaviours which relate to CFRS Core Values and the FRS Code of Ethics.

360 feedback is an important development tool for leaders. It can highlight areas of strength which may not be recognised as well as areas for development.

What do I need to do next if I am undertaking a 360 myself or if I have been asked to complete a questionnaire for someone else?

Click on the links below to access more information dependent on whether you are undertaking a 360 appraisal (360 appraisee) for yourself or whether you are responding (respondent) to someone else’s request for 360 feedback:

If you require any support in participating in the CFRS 360 process or have any questions about getting involved, then please contact your Leadership Development Advisor;
